Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I first started my counseling career by working in an intensive outpatient substance use program back in 2006. I was so inspired by the changes the clients there were making in such a short amount of time, I knew I could make changes in my life too. I went back to school earning my LCDC certificate in 6 months, then off to graduate school. I knew if my clients who were finding their path to recovery while being parents, brothers, sisters, friends, and coworkers; I too could achieve my goal.
Earning my master's degree allowed me to explore who I am as a person, a therapist, and expanded my worldview of the counseling process. I believe anyone and everyone can benefit from counseling at some point in their life. The process one goes through with the therapist is something special that does not happen anywhere else. The time spent discovering, exploring, and just being with yourself is an invaluable growing experience that I hope everyone gets to experience.
I sincerely believe in the power of people to change to be the best version of themselves they can imagine. It takes commitment to the process, time, and a safe therapeutic relationship to make that happen. I know I can help you achieve your best self.
